Thursday morning, 1 October, a warm sunny Canberra morning... Rally and circuit racing driver, Rick Bates played The Stig with the Tesla electric-powered roadster against an Audia R8 supercar. The event was held at the SDMA Hillclimb Complex at the Fairbairn Park Hillclimb complex on Sutton Road. Times where 38.0 sec for the Tesla and 36.2 sec for the R8. Not a bad performance for the Tesla considering that the R8 (with V8) has almost twice the power rating (309kW compared to 185kW).
